Shahshi Tharoor, 57, Minister of Human Resources Development, has himself discovered the lifeless body of his wife Sunanda Pushkar in the five-star hotel where they lived, on his return from a meeting of the Congress Party.

The autopsy report submitted Monday to magistrate investigating reports of death due to excessive drug use, said the news agency.

PTI adds that the magistrate, Alok Sharma, refused, for the moment, to provide more details.

The Minister made a statement in which he agrees to cooperate fully with investigators and request a quick survey on the causes of death of his wife occurred after she has exhibited in tweets what she thought of the alleged relationship her husband with a Pakistani journalist, Mehr Tarar.

The death of Sunanda Pushkar is the tragic outcome of marital problems that are spread in the Indian press and on social networks.

The body of Sunanda Pushkar, 52, bears traces of "injury", but it is not known if these injuries are related to his death, said Sudhir Gupta, one of the three doctors responsible for the autopsy.

The Minister stated that the tweets behind the rumor were due to hacking of his account and he formed with his wife "a happy couple."

For its part, the Pakistani journalist categorically denied having a relationship with the minister.
