Best Paneer Recipes

Kaaju Paneer Masala


150 gms Paneer

1/2 cup kajus

3 medium size choped Onions

3 chopped tomatoes

3 falkes chopped garlic

1" piece chopped ginger

1/2 cup water

3 tsp watermelon seeds

1 tsp khus khus

Oil as required

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1/2 cup milk gradually

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp salt

A bunch of fresh coriander leaves


Cut the paneer in to cubes and Fry paneer with 2 tbsp oil on frying pan till golden color.
Remove paneer and fry kajus in the same oil and keep aside.
Deep fry sliced onions till brown and keep aside for cooling.
After Cooling the fried onions, grind it to a paste.
Boil choped tomatoes, garlic, ginger with 1/2 cup water, till tamatoes are soft.
Cool and then puree with blender or mixer.
Soak watermelon seeds and khus khus for 1 minute. Grind to paste.
Heat 2 tbsp of oil and fry paste till brown.
Add 1/2 tsp chilli powder and khus-khus paste and mix.
Add tomato puree and cook till oil separates.
Add 1/2 cup milk gradually, stirring constantly, and cook for 3-4 mins.
Add 1/2 tsp garam masala and salt.
Add enough hot water to get a thick gravy.
Boil and then simmer for 10-20 mins.
Add Paneer pieces and kaju to the gravy
Boil once more, simmer for 5 mins. till paneer is heated through.
Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves on top and serve.

Paneer with Pudina(mint leaves)

Paneer with Pudina

250 gms Paneer
4 tbsp oil
3 Finely chopped onions
1/4 tsp haldi
3/4 tsp chilli powder
3/4 tsp Salt
pulp of 2 tomatoes
1/4 cup dried pudina or a full bunch of fresh pudina(mint leaves) leaves finley chopped.
3/4 tsp garam masala
1 tsp garlic ginger paste

This recipe is best suits for chapati, roti and biryani.

Fry 3 sliced onions till brown in fry pan with 4 tbsp oil.

Add 1/4 tsp haldi, 3/4 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp garlic ginger paste and salt.

Add pulp of 2 tomatoes and cook till dry.

Add 250 gms Amul Paneer, 1/4 cup dried pudina or Fresh finely choped mint leaves.

Add 3/4 garam masala.

Cook for 2 mins and remove from fire.


Paneer tikka (paneer  barbeque)

Paneer (cottage cheese)500 grams
Green capsicums,1 inch pieces 2 medium
Red  capsicums,1 inch pieces 2 medium
1 large onions cut into 1" square pieces
Chaat masala 2 teaspoon
Lemon wedges to garnish

For marinade:

1/2 cup Hung yogurt
1 teaspoon Ginger paste
1 teaspoon Garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
Turmeric powder a pinch
1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
1 teaspoon Chaat masala or tandoori masala
2-3 tablespoons Fresh cream
Oil  2 tablespoons (if available mustard oil)
Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste

Cut paneer into one and a half inch squares with half inch thickness. Mix all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl and marinate the paneer cubes in it for about 2 to 3 hours in refrigirator.

Mix 1 tsp chat masala with oinion ,capsicum pieces to coat them well.

Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 mins.

Now arrange the marinated paneer slices, onion and capsicum on bamboo sticks as shown in picture or of your own combination.

Heat your grill on medium. Put the paneer skewers on it and brush with a little cooking oil with brush.

Grill till paneer is light golden and the onions, capsicums are soft.

Remove the paneer skewers from grill and place them on a plate and sprinkle with chat masal.Garnish with lemon wedges, carrot pieces, and serve piping hot!

Serve with Green Mint Chutney with tamato sauce.

Hint: Do not overcook or the paneer will become elastic.

Paneer Sub


4 submarine bread 
Few olives 
Few jalapeno
1 cucumber with peel (thinly sliced)
1 onion (thinly sliced)
1 capsicum (thinly sliced)
1 tomato (thinly sliced)
6 cheese slices (optional)
1/2 cabbage (nicely shredded)
Mayanose sauce
Mustard sauce 
chilly sauce

For Filling:

200 gm paneer(cut into small cubes)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tomatoes finely chopped
Salt as required
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp garam masalar powder
2 tbsp tomato ketchup


Heat the pan with oil.
Add tomatoes in pan and saute till its cooked.
Add salt,garam masala powder and red chilli powder mix well.
Add paneer cubes and tomato ketchup and mix well till the gravy coats the paneer cubes well.
Keep aside and allow it cool.

Preparing the sub:

  • Slit the sub from one side as shown in fig.
  • Place the shredded cabbage first then tomatoes.
  • Place onion rings on top of tomatoes follwed by capsicum, cucumber slices follwed by paneer curry,olives,jalapeno.
  • Now spread some all the sauces(mayanose,mustard,chilly) and put some cheese slices on top of sauces.
  • Now close the top of sub and serve with your favourite drink or juice.

Paneer stuffed tomatoes:
Paneer stuffed tomatoes

500 gms large beefsteak tomatoes
250 gms paneer (Sliced into very small cubes) (can substitute Tofu)
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 Small onion chopped finely
1/2 finely Capsicum finely chopped (green bell pepper)
1 tbsp garlic ginger paste
1/2 tbsp Red chilli Powder
1/2 tbsp roasted cumin powder
1/2 tbsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
some grated cheese.

Cut the tomatoes 1/4 top part.
Scoop out the seeds and pulp inside tomatoes into a bowl for later use.
Brush inside walls of tomatoes with pepper, salt and olive oil.
Heat the big pan with butter add chopped onions with ginger garlic paster.
Saute onions till transparent.
Add chopped capsicum with tomato seeds and pulp cook for 5 to 10 mins.
Add Cumin powder,garam masala powder and chaat masala mix well.
Add paneer cubes and cook for 2 mins.
Allow the mixture to cool to normal temperature.
Now Stuff the Tomatoes with the mixture
sprinkle the grated chese on top.
Pre heat the oven.
Now Bake the stuffed tomatoes at 325degress for 10 min.

Serve hot with rice or with roti.
