SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 Now Available

SUSE has presented after five and a half years, a new version of the SUSE Linux distribution for enterprise customers. SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 offers with the new version, many new features and software features. The Enterprise OS now supports Linux container and contains the Docker Framework, which enables the automated deployment of applications. The competitors Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and Ubuntu 14.10 also support the Docker Framework

Customer Portal and better features
The new Customer Center (Customer Portal) enables easy management of updates, patches and subscriptions. It also offers direct access to customer support. Functions as a complete system restore, live kernel patching and other software modules are designed to provide "better and operate more efficiently and faster updates".


Better support for IBM System z and Power 8
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server is now optimized for IBM's POWER-8 processors.
